I spent 2k plus on my 1100 and am honestly beginning to believe that dell left me with egg on my face. ive posted on other boards and i get no clear and direct answer.Īll i want to know is Will this midi and microphone issue Be solved or do i have to keep spending money on equipment that should have come oem standard! once i got past the direct x issue i run in to the midi brick wall. Windows audio recorder works fine (recording and playing), as does the MIDI out to an external box I use. I have gone through the CW instructions several times and believe I have followed them to the letter. I have tried removing the "AUD.INI and TTSSEQ" files from the Cakewalk folder, as another poster suggests - this does not resolve the problem (but does prevent the driver error message from popping up, as the poster suggested).

SigmaTel is selected in the "Options | Audio" and the "wave profiler" runs successfully. Problem: when I open an audio track in Cakewalk the program gives me no dropdown options for "In" and for "Out." "In" is stuck at "none" and "Out" is stuck at "A()" Also (related, I assume) it will not allow me to select the "record" option on any audio track. My audio driver is the SigmaTel, and I have downloaded / installed the latest version from the Dell website. I have an Inspiron 2600 running Windows XP (original Dell factory installed), with Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 installed.
